Angela Ivory is the founder of Bespoke Births.

She is one of New Zealand’s leading holistic birth support specialists…

If you had said to me 15 years ago that my passion would be advocating holistic health and birth support, I probably would have fallen over laughing. Yet, this is where I am today in 2019! I am a mum of three children, now 19, 16 and 9 and somewhere in this timeframe, an idea grew. I wanted to integrate holistic health principles and wisdom into women’s health - particularly researching and looking at hormonal imbalances, endometriosis, PCOS, menstrual disorders and infertility.

I was also curious as to how women birthed the way they did - What did they know? What were they hearing? What were their beliefs around birth? Why was it that similar birthing experiences empowered some but created trauma in others? For those who felt elation following their birth, why did they want to birth differently the next time? What was missing? What could be offered? After years of interviewing new mothers and gathering their stories, undertaking study in several modalities, ongoing research, and well, even more study and research.... Bespoke Births (NZ) was born!

To keep abreast, I attend a minimum of 80 hours professional development per year to ensure my knowledge is fresh - you can have complete confidence that my information is evidence-based and research is recent.
