MAKING APPOINTMENTS/GENERAL FAQ’s:
Are you strict with your confirmation time for scheduling appointments? Everyone is busy juggling many things and everyone has last minute things that pop up - I understand! However, often there will be someone who is waiting for an appointment who would love to take your spot if you can’t make it. Please do try to confirm your appointment at least 24hrs prior - when the request comes through to you via email, or you may risk paying a cancellation fee (no show). This is outlined in the email sent to you.
Refund policy: Please talk to me if you are unhappy about the service I provide. I will strive to put things right. I don’t usually offer refunds except under circumstances where we are unable to come to a fair conclusion about the issue. All issues/discrepancies will need to be addressed to me in writing.
Change of mind policy: Please see point 1.
Payment plans: Payment plans may be offered, depending on the service/package/plan. Please contact me for further details - or see package payment plans info (Birth Doula, Post Natal Doula and Fertility Support) for more info.

BIRTH DOULA SUPPORT PACKAGES:
Do you charge more than other Birth Doula’s?
Quite possibly, yes! My support package fees reflect my certification - Certified Birth Doula CD(DONA), having completed the requirements as set out by DONA International. In addition to this, I have gained a multitude of knowledge and experience in Childbirth Education, HypnoBirthing, Holistic Medicine (Homeopathy/Bach Flowers) and Aromatherapy. Years of training, experience and additional ongoing education are reflected in my fees.
Refund/Change of mind policy:
I get it! I understand….selling a service ‘sight unseen’ is taking a big leap of faith, that’s why I offer a free initial 20 minute discovery call. If I sound like I could be the right Birth Doula for you, we get together for a meet and greet. In more depth, I discover more about your needs and wishes and you seek to understand more about me. After the meeting, you are armed with a pack of information and are welcome to contact me if you have further queries. Once a signed service contract is returned to me and your deposit has been paid, you have 4 weeks to change your mind for a full refund of your deposit *(criteria applies). After this time, there will be no refunds. Please read the service contract very carefully to be sure you understand it in its entirety.

Police Vetting(Check):
I have a clean police record - and have a police vet (check) processed every 3 years.

HOMEOPATHIC FERTILITY PACKAGE:
Refund/Change of mind policy: I get it! I understand….selling a service ‘sight unseen’ is taking a big leap of faith, that’s why I offer a free initial 20 minute discovery call. Once a signed service contract is returned to me and your deposit has been paid (if paying a deposit), you have 2 weeks to change your mind after our first initial consultation (2hrs) for a full refund of your deposit (or full fee if paid upfront) - minus the initial consultation fee of $180.00. After this time (2 weeks), there will be strictly no refunds. Please read the service contract very carefully to be sure you understand it in its entirety.

NATURAL FERTILITY - STM:
What to expect? Firstly, I am thrilled you have chosen to learn more about the Sympto-Thermal method for either helping you to conceive OR to learn to avoid conception. We will have 3 appointments with the goal of you becoming an autonomous client at the end of the 3rd appointment - this means you will be confident enough to apply what you have learnt and put it into practice on your own. If you are not entirely sure you are confident, we can include a 4th appointment (for a small fee). You will also receive 12 months’ support which includes answering any queries and/or checking your fertility charts. As NFNZ Accredited Educators, we are able to write to your GP and outline what you will be learning with us and at the conclusion of our time together another letter can be sent to let them know you have learnt the STM method and will be using it to either help you conceive or as a method of contraception.
Consultations - Why you need to attend all 3 As with any new skill you learn, we make sure you can apply your new skills both correctly and confidently without our help! It is important to learn the STM in its entirety to get the full benefit.
The importance of regular contact - NFNZ Accredited Educators are here to support you. We love what we do and appreciate that you contact us if you have any queries. No question is a silly one!
Avoiding conception clients - All 3 appointments should be completed (4th appointment if required) and your new skills should be strictly adhered to. If there is any hesitation about anything at anytime, please contact me to clarify.
To Achieve pregnancy clients - All 3 appointments should be completed (4th appointment if required). If at any time during or between the appointments, I feel it is in your best interest to seek medical advice and/or referral to a GP or specialist, I will discuss this with you, and write a letter to the medical practitioner if you wish. I may feel that seeking the advice of a Naturopath or other Holistic health practitioner would benefit you and am also able to refer.

HYPNOBIRTHING:

Why don’t you advertise weekend workshops? Simply, we are unable to. All classes must be held weekly at 2.5hrs each class - (or in very exceptional circumstances) can be broken down, however, we need to seek approval first. We know that it works best when people can learn/consolidate and put into practice what they have learnt week to week. There is some home reading as well as beautiful relaxation tracks to listen to at home.
Is it different from Calmbirth? The Hypnobirthing programme was written and founded in the USA in the 1980’s by Marie Mongan, a hypnotherapist who developed the programme. By drawing on her own birthing experiences and subsequent training as a counsellor and hypnotherapist, her programme was developed. Calmbirth is an Australian childbirth preparation programme developed by Peter Jackson in 2005. Peter has worked in General, Psychiatric and Midwifery disciplines of nursing since 1970. Hypnobirthing was developed to teach couples self hypnosis techniques to achieve a satisfying birth free of the fear that causes pain and discomfort. Calmbirth promotes the use of deep relaxation which is centred around the normal physiological relaxation response within the body. Both programmes draw on different sources of contemporary authors and researches in dealing with the subject of Conscious Parenting, Bonding and Attachment.

BIRTH TRAUMA/BABY LOSS SESSIONS:
What you need to know: At a deeply traumatising time, I am here to help support and guide you. The loss of a baby through stillbirth, through miscarriage or neonatal death is recognised as a traumatic event that can cause so much grief, but also feelings of depression, anxiety and PTSD. This may look different for each individual and support can include talking therapy, seeking resources for you and accompanying you to a counsellor or psychologist. I have had many hours of training (which still continues) through Traumatic Birth Recovery (UK), The Perinatal Loss Centre (AUST) and Healing Birth Practitioner Training (NZ).
